Default Speed inc fuel rail kit differences.

I've been looking at the two fuel rail kits speed inc offers. Mainly for the added cleanliness under the hood and less clutter. Just trying to decide between the High Flow fuel rails and the budget kit.

What are the differences between the two?
Ease of install?
Any pics of their setups?

Tried searching but didn't come up with much.

I would like to know also. Thinking of upgrading for the same reasons. I guess you can't go wrong with the high flow kit for $215 versus the budget kit for $140.

I don't believe there's any physical difference between the rails. The budget rails only come in red while the hi flow come in various colors. The internal dimensions have to be very similar as they are only so big. I have the hi flow rails and I used to have a set of what they are now calling their budget rails. No real difference other than the hi flow rails are smooth on the outside and the budget rails had the fins.

The budget kit saves a lot of time, expense, and aggrevation out of the equation by giving you the fittings and etc to hook them up.

Thanks a million. Looks like I'll go with the budget kit for about $160 w/ fuel pressure gauge. Red will look fine with the MSD red wires.

You would think that the "hi-flow" rails would have a larger I.D. like a 1/2" vs. 3/8 for larger fuel systems that utizlize -10an+ fittings.

Both are tapped for 3/8" NPT.

Just a suggestion, if you don't want them to be red, just get some Easy Off oven cleaner, spray them down, and it will take the anodizing off. Polish 'em up and clear them.

The website says that they are both tapped for 3/8" NPT. I ended up having to get o-ringed -8AN fittings for the rails I have now. From what it seems there was a rogue batch that was tapped differently. It took a lot of trial and error and some help from some fellow LS1Tech folks to finally figure out the right size fittings. I had to order fittings from Summit 3 times to get the right ones. That's why I recommend the kit, get everything you need in one shot.

Speed Inc told me they were not as nice as the High flow rails. I was going to order the budget set and I am soo glad I did not.

So the budget kit comes with the lines and all? Even the fitting to go from a AN line to the factory fuel line?

Heres deal

High flow rails
-come in a variety of anodized colors
-billet fuel rail mounts

Budget rails
-one color (typically red)
-stamped steel rail mounts

If your finances permit I would go with our high flow rails, I use them on my own car.

Okay, I have another question. I just bought from a member on here a set of Nasty fuel rails. What do I need to hook them up to my stock line? Is there a kit I can buy? I would like to get either black or silver fittings, which could someone explain why black is more expensive than red and blue? Is the black paint more expensive than red or blue?

Thanks for the help.
