Default supporting an injector upgrade

When larger fuel injectors are added onto an engine to allow for more feul usage, for a larger cam for example, what other mods are needed to support those larger injectors? Whats the least amout of supporting fuel upgrades one could get by with to do the job on a mild H/C setup like a CC305, mild porting, and the usual boltons, with say a 30 lb. injector.

Thankyou for the time and sorry, im a huge noob when it comes to feul upgrades and searching the site didnt really come up with much this time.

My car has h/c and still has stock injectors and fuel pump. It puts out 450rwhp. The stock injectors are maxed out at this point but the A/F ratio is still ok. I just bought a N2O kit and upgraded to 42 lb. injectors and a Racetronics fuel pump to be safe. As for the mods required with upgraded injectors you just need a tune to compensate so the car will idle properly.

So if i threw some larger injectors on the car, all i would need to do is tune the PCM? Wow, sounds too simple.

Yep. For just heads/cam the stock pump will be sufficient. Alot of people do upgrade the injectors though. Myself, well I have Racetronics 42 lb injectors and their fuel pump. I only went so large due to a dry kit that I plan to use when I get the tune tweaked in

At max WOT my 28.8 injectors reach 120 % duty cycle. Im going to purchase 30 pound injectors.

You will gain no power from the injectors and will have to program your PCM to show differant injectors

you can run a 42 lber on a stock motor if you want, you ony thing you need to do is rescale the injector table in the computer. the mods dont support the injectors, the injectors support the mods, so to speak. being that your a LT1 car you will need probably need to upgrade injectors at the 360 rwhp level or maybe sooner.
