Default When do you need to start upgrading the fuel system??

I have milled 5.3l heads, 236/240 111+4lsa cam, ported FAST 90, headers, and true duals goin on my car in the next few weeks. I'm hoping for 450-470rwhp on 93octane. I was wondering, do I need to start upgrading my fuel system? I don't know much about it so any help would be great! I've been looking at the racetronics single fuel pump kit. Is that too much? Also, for injectors, do I need an upgrade & how do I choose what size? thanks

thanks, I flipped through the first 4 pages of this section but didn't see anything.
I checked out Nasty Performance's website and they have a stage 1 street kit that includes everything for up to 600rwhp. It's a little more than I wanted to spend and I'll probably never make over 500rwhp but I guess it would be good insurance, especially if I ever did up the cubes or spray.
HMMM......

Good luck making those kind of numbers with that combo! You should be able to expect somewhere around 400-430 rwhp with a good tune. I would do the hotwire kit at a bare minimum. The pump kit is good insurance. You souldn't need to worry about injectors until 500 RWHP.

Show me some proven numbers with your setup then. I don't think you could hit those numbers on a dynojet even. I've done my research and know how to use the search function of this website. I guess that means I should be looking for 500+rwhp when I do my cam swap!

Dude I know how to use the search function, I've been here since the beginning, I'm just looking for tips on what exactly I need for my personal setup. That's why people create new threads, bc they can't find what they are looking for elsewhere.
And believe what you want about my setup & your 500rwhp cam only setup, I don't need you in here polluting my thread

Right now I'm looking at the racetronics single pump PnP kit & Racetronics Delphi/Lucas 42# high impedence fuel injectors.

Will these fuel injectors work with my Fast90 & stock fuel rails with no problems?

Oh and here's your 5.3l data:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=2.5+5.3
And that's through a y-pipe, GMMG, & an ls6 intake.
I have a 3" x-pipe & a vengeance ported FAST 90/NW throttle body. I do have a smaller cam though

Here's another setup with a similar cam to mine: https://ls1tech.com/forums/dynamometer-results-comparisons/664132-prc-stage-2-5-5-3-s-ms3-ewp-9090-bolt-ons-exhuast.html
And if you look at his other threads, he didn't have the best tuner in the world either. I will have the best tuners in the houston area IMHO tuning mine

Continue to believe what you want & I will believe what I want & I will post my numbers in a month when everything is installed.

Yes they will work fine I have that exact setup on my car. I had stock injectors and fuel pump and they were maxed out at 450rwhp. Now that I upgraded I have plenty extra fuel for the spray and with the tune that I have my fuel milage is not any worse than it was before.

No problem. FYI I looked around for a while and Harris Speed has the best pricing on the 42# Delphi/Lucas injectors. They are also really easy to tune much easier than SVO or Mototron injectors.

i made 698 RWHP on stock injectors.. Figure that **** out..

The fuel pump kit and injectors will be plenty for your setup. Give me a call I can get you setup with what you need.

Injectors alone will benefit you quite a bit. The stock pump is good for way more power than you're making. Plus, if you get some 42# injectors, they'll only be at like an 70% duty cycle at high rpm.
With the added fuel that you can get from those 42# injectors, I bet you can hit 440rwhp.

my friend gos by the name V8, he has long tubes, cam, heads, 4:10, injectors,
cold air, cut outs, throttle body, under drive, stall, elect fans, swaped inteaks on his 5.3, runs mid 12's and he dynoed just over 330 hp to the wheels.
how are you guys in the cars with 5.3 liter motors laying down 500 or 600 hp to the wheels NA with out a shot of nos.

I don't think they are using 5.3 liter engines. They are probably just using the 5.3 Liter heads on a 5.7 to bump the compression

WTF? He's going with a strong combo for sure. I suggest you read more and post less.
