im looking into dropping an LS1 into my 01 camaro. I know i know i know, "you should just sell your car and get a LS1 car." But, this was a project my dad and i wanted to do but he passed away a few months ago so id really like to do it. my question is... I know i need a new fuel pump for the new engine because of the PSI difference. Are the fuel lines different from a 3.8 to a LS1? it is an 01 camaro.

The 3.8 does not have a tank mounted regulator so you will need to make some changes to the fuel system.

 

can i reuse any of the lines?

and isnt the ls1's fuel regulator on the rail??

as far as lines i was told you would need to switch
it has somethign to do with the v6 having or not haveing a return line (its one or the other is the reason you need the ls1 lines) and a friend of mine is selling the lines off of his actually should you be interested.

 

dont know how much you have looked into it but i will pm you a great place for parts as well as info on the swap as far as what will work and parts needed
