Default Paging J-Rod regarding the o2's that can tolerate leaded gas

J,

I'm at the point where I need to buy some gas for the project car (blown LS6 with 20 lb of boost).

I'd like to get some of those 02 sensors that you mentioned before and try them. I don't have a prayer of having stock 02's take leaded gas.

Let me know!

Are yours heated?

Can we run unheated 02's?

I'm still confused as to why you even want to run o2's with your setup.

Worried about gas mileage on the return road?

So our stock ones are 3 wire and heated.

Do we still need heated?

Jim, I have NOT wired up the TSI pcm controller yet, so I am still exploring options. I am close to buying a drum of race fuel so I am trying to decide on whether I do the TSI or maybe get a FAST.

Stock ones are 4 wire, +, -, high signal and a low signal. They are heated o2's.

The Gn guys and the Supra guys are using these with much success. Lots of GN guys running race gas with tons of boost, and still using O2s. I believe all the Denso 02s are lead safe. Do a search on my posts in this section, I think I provided PN#s.

Desco says they tolerated lead more. They arnt completly lead proof, but highly resistant to the adverse affects of lead. Serveral people have run leaded gas with them and they work fine.

i listed the P# that the ls1 needs. only diffence between the 2 are the length of wires.

On the GN forum, guys who would kill an 02 in 1 or two passes are driving around with race gas in the car with no issues. Seems to increase life of the 02 by some huge factor.

Out of curiousity, because I cannot remember, how long are our front and rear 02's?

I think I will maybe order some Denso's and try them with C16 from VP Fuel.
