Default Fuel system diagram

anyone have detailed pics of their entire fuel system setup? the search function is hit or miss now

its all plumbing so i'd like to do it myself. I'm going to be running dual A1000 pumps. I'm ordering a sump kit from summit and will have that welded to a 98 tank.

correct me if i'm wrong, but i'll have 2 lines coming out of the sump. each line will then run to a A1000 fuel pump. from there i will Y them into 1 -10 feedline. I have a NOS y fitting that has a 1 way check valve to prevent back flow. From there the feed line runs........

that's where i get confused. i'm guess it runs to the FP regulator, then into the back of the fuel rail. then out the back of the other fuel rail is the return line that then runs back to teh regulator and from there it runs back to the top of the fuel tank???

any diagrams, pics would be greatly appreciated!!

thanks!

Yes, they are all Aeromotive. If you need a place to buy the stuff from just let me know and I can get you hooked up with a great company.

awesome thanks. do you know what the HP level those size lines are capable of supporting?

the motor this is going on is a 408ci w/ a GT47-88. I was going to run the -10 up to the rails and a -8 as a return line.

Yes, it is required if you are only using one pump for driving and the other when boost is present. Other wise fuel would bleed back through the other pump. I run check valves on both pumps as a fail safe. If one pump stops, I can just switch over the the other one and drive home.

I run the 15107 aeromotive check valve on the outlet of each filter (12301). It has a 10AN male flare on it which screws right into the filter. The outlet of the check valve is a 10AN ORB port which i just screw a 10AN-8AN Male flare (15610) to get my 8AN line.

The filters are easy. Run a 100mircon prefilter (12304) and a 10micron postfilter (12301).

Equal fuel distribution to both rails.

You use the two Y-blocks so you don't have 3 lines running the length of the car. Besides, only one pump runs under normal drive while the second pump comes on via a hobb switch.
