Default -6 or -8 feed line

Trying to figure out what size feed line to run.. I have been looking at running -8 but heard that that would be too much for a 700-750rwhp car.. -6 just doesnt look any bigger than stock.

right now im trying to use a single pump and run a braided feed line. I only want to make 600 or so on the single pump but later I would upgrade to dual in tank pumps.

I was told that the -8 would burn up my single pump. Is anyone running -8 with a single pump..

anyone running -6 with a dual pump? what rwhp numbers?

The -6 is about the same size as the OEM feed line (3/8). Until you're ready to step up to a return style system with aftermarket rails and a boost referenced regulator, the stock line will probably be fine.

I'm running the stock lines/setup with dual pumps and it's been OK at my power level.

That is complete and utter nonsense.

I recently tested my fuel system ( dual pump ), and while it has a -8 line from pumps to engine, return is a -6.

This was able to flow 486 litres per hour via that single -6 return. So clearly it doesnt pose much of a restriction, and that flow will easily support 1000+ and then some.

So a -6 or -8 would work fine for you...whichever is handiest to plumb in.

99% of the time my car is running is with a single walbro fueling through a -8 feed.

the 6 should flow more than the stock lines, which some people are even using at your level.

i would consider the expense of the line and your plans with the car, if you may upgrade to more hp in the future, just buy the -8 line instead of buying -6 now and -8 later

I have a magnafuel boost ref. regulator, magn. filter, fast rails, and 60lb injectors... Im just trying to set up a return system now.. Right now I have a single racetronix pump that I plan on running untill I decided what I want to do around cutting the bucket. I hate to do that because I drive 100-150 to college and back home on the weekends. I drive the car daily..

I appreciate the help.. -8 is only about $60 which is not significant and will allow me upgrade room in the future.. Probably the way I will go.. thanks

Easiest thing to do with some room to grow is use the -8 for a feed line and the stock feed line as return. Works for me..

Fwiw we've used the stock feed line at 1,100+rwhp, so imo -6 is more than enough.
