Default EVAP black plastic solenoid between intake/fuel line broke

Not sure what to do now. I hear where people are deleting this thing and bypassing it with a steel braided line. Where the fuel line connect goes into this EVAP fuel purge valve is where it broke. I think I will have to replace both the fuel line connect & the black evap valve. hmmmm... any suggestions???

Do you have a picture to show where it broke?

I think it would be wiser to fix properly. Is the EVAP unit checking for gas vapors? Part of the EECS right? I had mine go bad near top of fuel tank. Someone had installed a trap door and did not remove sharp edges of steel. Just folded them back in and it cut into the line. Used some silicone(fuel safe) and e-tape and fuel line to repair.

I took a picture with my cell phone but the quality is too bad to see it in detail. I'll see about taking one with my digital camera soon

Just make sure you still have the valve inline. If you remove the valve, everytime you fill up the tank the vapors are going to go into the intake and the car will flood and run like **** on startup.
