Default will this be ok?

Ok here is what i have. A fuel cell with a 10AN outlet and inlet, In tank A1000
I have 10AN feed line and filter all the way to the rails, out of rails is a 10AN to the FPR. The FPR only has a 6AN return. So is it ok to go from the FPR with a 6 AN to the fuel cooler which has a 6an in and out then convert back to a 10an back into the tank?

I am not sure either, but a wild stab would be yes, the -6AN will be ok. I am interested in your fuel cooler location, should it not be on the -10AN side before the injectors?

Is the FPR in the feed side? It should be on the return side. If I'm reading it backwards, then the cooler should be in the Feed side ... ? Sorry no arrows to show flow direction + I'm under the impression that you have to run the cooler before the injectors

Well the system is a bypass style setup the feed line from the tank goes to the rails first, goes thru both rails and then to the input of the FPR. then the ruturn comes from the bottom of the FPR and goes through the cooler, and back to the tank.

The problem is that the FPR return port is a 6an, and the return port at the tank is a 10AN. The cooler is in the return line to cool the fuel going back to the tank. This will help the pump live longer. Or so I assume!!

To cool the fuel back to the tank for increased pump life? I'm not buying that. Reducing the fuel temp is a known HP adder, but the weight of a decent cooler offsets the gains.

Anyway, back to your other question. I did read that the rule of thumb is: your return should be 1 size smaller than your supply.

What HP levels are you looking for? Does your setup require a -10AN feed or was it just the way your tank was available?

My final question is, what does the FPR have? If it's plumbed with -10AN for the feed and -6AN for the return then they have answered your question for you.. and you are fine.

Well the heat issue makes plenty of sense! If you do research on A1000 pumps that is one of the problems people are complaining of. Also the dual walbro setups get get hot if you are not running a hobbs switch. here are specs for the cooler, they seem to be pretty small and they say a 40 degree drop in temprature. Fluid Cooler, Fuel, Tube and Fin, Copper/Aluminum, Natural, 3 1/2 in. x 12 in. x 3/4 in., I am not sure about the 40 degrees but anything can help.

Don't know about the cooler thingy but I'd Y it before the fuel rails and Y back down after (running parallel rails instead of series rails)

Your setup sounds fine to me. Aeromotive overkills the feed at-10 but yes the cooler on the return side and -6 is good for over 1000rwhp.
