yes, highest spline for tru trac is 33. Your only options for 35 spline are either a full spool or a locker.

I saw at SEMA this week that Wavetrac has come out with a 35 spline diff. Its got a LIFETIME warranty!! I'm thinking about getting one. They said availability is about 3 weeks away. Moser sounded positive about the product as well. Its expensive though, about $900.

can you simply just swap carriers on the 9 inch and not worry about setting up the center section like a 10 bolt? obviously I'd have to get new axles in the process. Also, what is the driving experience on the street like for driving a locker for anyone with one? What do tight right turns feel like? parallel parking? crawling around a parking lot and slow turns?

Is it louder than the sound of a howling and dying 10 bolt rear? Does it clunk or chatter loud like something is broken sounding? Depending on that experience and any clips showing something odd I may just try to live with my locker.

It does all the typical locker things, clicks like a son of a gun when turning, tends to push the car in turns (ya get used to that) but the clicking makes everyone that doesnt know **** about cars come up to tell you something is briken in your car...lol,
but it does perform without skipping a beat that is for sure your not gonna break it, i just got tired of the clicking

My wife would get embarrassed with the spool when we went places to eat and stuff. Everyone would look at us weird when the car would shake and vibrate when trying to pull into a parking spot. And then some people would come up and say something is messed up in my rear end and ask if I needed a tow truck...

I'd just keep using it at this point, you may never have any worse problems with it. Bob

Hard to say what is wrong with it. The first thing to do if it is that loud is to take it apart to see what is wrong with it. A lot of people run the Truetrac without any problems, I see a few on here have had problems but we have sold hundreds of them. Bob

the prices are correct. the spool is really simple and easy to make. I sold my spool for 100 bucks last year and spent almost 900 on a tru trac and labor to put it in

Im in the same boat. Im looking into getting a new/used rear 9",S60, 12bolts thats 2-3" narrowed and tring to make up my mind! Spool or locker, No posi! What are the prices on all them? I have 413whp cam only m6 car! I have gotten around 6 1.6 60ft's on my stock 10bolt with 115k miles on it and i no i was lucky. My car is a 100% DD driven year round and on road trips. What setup would you get! im looking at 3.90-4.11 gears. In the next year i plan on being close to 500whp N/A and 600+ on spray. Just to let ya no im cheap LOL so i mainly need 100% ture prices and your option! Mostly on the locker and spool!

Many people hate them and many people get use to them and don't mind it. If it is just a weekend driver, then I don't see a reason not to go with a spool. I personally prefer a spool over a locker. A spool keeps both axles locked together all the time. This isn't good if you do a lot of intercity driving, but if your driving is mostly rural or interstate, the only time you'll remember you have a spool is when you make a 90 degree turn in an intersection, or you attempt to parallel park! lol Bob
just got that thanx bob! Im going to get a spool!

I didn't see any applications on their website other than imports. Was wondering if it was gonna be available for the ford 9"? Sounds promising....

The Wavetrac pn# is 56.309.175WK and retail is $995. I'm betting if Moser or another rear MFG. or a sponsor picks them up they'd be a bit less. We'll see.
