4.30s
I am looking into buying a car with 4.30 gears and a m6 trans. I was wondering how much this will hurt the gas mpg and how it would be for a dd (summer months mostly). Also, cruising on the highway around 75-80, what rpm are you guys at.
Thanks again

The great thing about the m6 is the the 2nd overdrive(6th) is a .50 ratio, us auto guys are .70 in out over drive, my car is auto with 3.73 and can pull 22 mpg on the highway wiyth ls6 head, torque v2 cam
Don't worry about those 4.30"s unless its in a 10 bolt!!!!! BOOOOMMMMM!!!!

Around town shouldn't change, If anything the car should take off with a little less throttle. You maybe able to skip from 1 st to 4th to avoid burning to much fuel, but i'm not sure ask the m6 guys.
Don't worry about mpg, half the time you will be at WOT anyway so let it go.

I love my 4.30s and I was on a smaller 25.5 tall street tire. Going to a taller DE this year for a street tire. Like silverLSWON Drove I think it was 16hrs driving time over 2 days tio the shootout. 80mph is about 2,200 rpms, M6 its fine. Somtimes going 1-2-3-4-5 at 10-20-30-40mph around town can ge alot, but is easy skip, 2-4 not the big drop. And 2nd starts are fine if your moving a little.
Street tires top of 4th is about 115, but on 28inch ETdrags should be around hi 130's.
