Oh by the way we weighed it when I was at Erics and it was only 12 lbs heavier then the 10 bolt. The aluminum center section would have been lighter by about 15lbs.

I like mine so far as well. I got the backbracing, 3 Channel ABS, Aluminium support with billit yoke, TrueTrak, 3.89 motive gears, Chromolly D/S, Fill hole on top, Powdercoated Black, All together it was $3690.00. I've got it broken in now and it does have a little gear whine mostly on accel at speeds over 45mph to about 90mph. I also am having some minor problems with it hitting my exhaust, but nothing major. All exhaust setups are a little different and with just a little more tweeking I think I'll have it.... All in all I would defenitly reccomend this rear. It took about 7 weeks from the order date to it sitting on the floor in the garage.

ls1crazy- Eric installed this for you there?? Def. sounds like total service. I've been saving for one of these for nearly two years. Got the money just scared to spend it with the economy. I believe I may be calling him very soon.

put about 1000 miles on my Midwest 9" so far. It whines, but is not bad at all. Very nice rear end for the money and has great clearance even though I am lowered.

My options: strange center section, tru-trac, 3.25's, backbraced, 31 spline moser axles

Yeah I trailored the car down and he installed it. I saved because he didn't have to ship it. Eric and his team are great.

Its worth it, IMO though sell your torque arm and use the midwest arm. You wont find a better rear end for the money.

I seriously thought about getting mine navy blue to match the car...but went with black. That rear axle will stick out visually from underneath that car anyway...but I wanted to go with a bit of a different color than the rest of the underside while still sorta meshing.

I know, the only time ppl will really see it is when it is in the air (I am working on it) or if the car is upside down (I am assuming room temp). For the former, it's purely to my taste. For the latter, I wouldn't care what others say or think.

Yeah...I spent a good chunk of change like others. Getting a good chunk of rear axle though, and going to use my 10 bolt for a fence post. Should at least be strong enough for that.

Pics of install coming soon...
