depending on how you outfit the package it can be a bit more cost effective, but comparing apples to apples you can get more for your dollar with our fab setup. The Moser 9 inch is a great rearend and has been proven over the years, but the fabricated setup is a new alternative to the cost and weight of the standard type 9 inch rears.

not to misinform anyone, just for the record our base package complete setup starts at 2650.00 shipped(west coast a bit more).
these rearend housings have many standard features... all at no extra cost. We start off with a 4 hole relocator style lca bracket. this bracketry setup is a standard feature on all rearends, as is a drainplug, stock type anti-sway brackets installed, and brake line clips. 98-02 rearends have brake hose mounts and e-brake cable mounts installed, as well. all rearend packages also include a chassis-to-rearend brake hose adapter bracket to mount the brake hose where it originally bolted to the factory housing. you get the choice of tunnel mount or trans crossmember mounted adjustable torque arms with the applicable crossmember for M6, A4, th350/400, or powerglide. the short arm version comes with a driveshaft loop attached to the crossmember as a standard feature, we do have a bolt-on driveshaft loop available as a option for the long arms. all tubular components are constructed of 4130 chromemoly tube and tig welded. heim joints are all USA- FK or Aurora brand, teflon lined aircraft quality units.
Center sections and axles(31-40 spline) consist of Strange or Moser(upon request) components; the new Yukon(quiet), Motive Performance or Richmond ring and pinions; spool, Wavetrac, Detroit Truetrac, locker, or clutch posi diff units; aluminum pro gear or aluminum daytona style pinion supports; Timken bearings. the all new Strange/Moser center sections are available in nodular iron or aluminum.
Some of the options are:
powdercoated assy(all parts less center for 125.00!) 3ch (yes i have 3 channel for the 9 inch!)or 4 channel abs/tcs, housing brace, rear filler cap, chromemoly or aluminum driveshafts, new gm brake mounts, bolt-on tubular chromeoly race anti-roll, Strange, US Brake, or Wilwood race brakes, tow loops, discount on new chromemoly lca's - phb, etc.
the base package includes bare fabricated housing, 31 spline nodular center w/ spool and choice of street type gear, 31 spline axles, chromemoly double adjustable torque arm and crossmember. use your brakes. all this for 2650.00 shipped... in 3 boxes. completely assembled units available also, shipped on a crate via truck freight. pm or call for quote on all setups.
ps... these rearends are perfect for street cars or full on race cars! all assemblies custom built to your specs... any width, any gears, any axles you want! all gear assemblies are done in house. we are direct with Strange, Moser, PST Driveline, AFCO. great deals on any suspension components, gears, shocks, driveshafts, etc. this is the lightest, strongest, most complete "bolt-in" rearend you can buy for the f-body car.

^^^ Eric OWNS all haha, Whens mine going to be done? So guys with enough money to buy a 9 inch I would seriously look at MWC. I bought a 9inch a year ago, and now is up for sale because i bought his axle and housing package keeping my centersection. also bought some other goodys. When i priced out all the suspension componets UMI torque arm with relocation off trans and LCA panhard bar, I thought i will sell mine stuff and buy his and i am about at the same price if i would have went with MWC in the first place. Actually $200 more but well worth it.

Im very glad with my MW 9, I got a wavetrack w 410's, Braced, Short TA, etc...and all looks super nice. the craftmanship on this things are very good. I also like to say that Eric included all hardware necessary to get it assembled. It was very nicely packed and looks and fits great under the car.
I highly recommend this rear for anyone looking to buy one. If I had to do it again. I would repeat my actions...enough said.

Well I finally took out my Moser 12 both this weekend and thought I would weigh it and compare the weight difference between the Midwest 9. I really thought the Midwest would be heavier because I used a Moser 9 center section in the Midwest. The Moser 9 center section was 73 lbs by itself. I was surprised to see the weight difference.
****Moser 12 both with 373 gears and 33 spline axles = 203 lbs
****Midwest 9 with 35 spline gun drilled/star flange axles and Moser 9 iron
center section spool. 175lbs.
So the Midwest is 28 lbs lighter with a much heavier center section and stronger axles and housing. Midwest TQ arm is much lighter, being made of chromoloy(I forgot to weight it) vs mild steel (spohn weights 32lbs). I'll post pictures later.

People worry too much about losing some "dyno" horsepower. I trapped 121.96 several times when I had my 10 bolt. With my 35 spline axled M9 I trapped 122.11 and 122.12 There was absolutely ZERO seat of the pants loss. Would it dyno a bit lower? I'm sure. Do I give a ****? No, and neither should all the people worrying about it.
