Question How long did your 10 bolt last?

So how long has your 10 bolt rear end held up? If its blown or began whining like crazy like mine and needs new axles or something then its considered done.

Just curious to see how long the p.o.s. 10 bolt has lasted for others on here

So far I have been blessed I have 72,000 miles on my original 10 bolt! It was originally a 2.73 car but I had 3.42 gears put in!

Right now my rear axles are bent and my axle bearings are shot and the quote I got to replace them was like 1100 dollars so I might as well just get a 9inch instead of wasting 1100 dollars... however.. convincing my parents to help me pay 1400 for a new rear end is going to be a huge pain in the *** since they are not car savvy at all

I have blown up two but they both had issues when I got the car and then another rearend. The first on was the stock one with 3.42's, the pinion bearing went and caused a total cluster fu^k of the center section. The second one had 4.10's and that lasted two months till it threw a chunk out of the pinion gear, I rebuilt that one with 3.73's and now the posi is going. I night buy another one to get by for another year or so, because I can't get a 9 inch yeat.

i got about 10 5k launches on et streets plus 139,000 miles on my stock ten bolt, the last launch killed my stock clutch though. i rarely powershift, and 80% of those miles are freeway miles

Mine didn't die, but I didn't wait for that to happen either. Replaced it. Although it has a slight whirring sound (whine?) or bad bearings, sounds like metal on metal slightly.

bought her in 05 with 28,xxx. now shes at 97,xxx. 10 bolt still good. no leaks, no noises, with plenty of trips to the track haha. crappy 2.73's tho.
