Default S60 Installed, First Impressions

S60 Rearend, 4.10, truetrac. Had BMR TA relocation Trans Crossmember installed as well as Relocation Brackets and Strange SA shocks. Overall I'm happy with everything. I can barely notice any change over 10 bolt. However, there does seem to be some noise/vibration in 5th gear. It goes away when clutch is depressed and it is very minor. I would not even notice it if it didn't feel like stock 10 bolt in gears 1-4 and 6th. I guess with each mod, especially to the suspension, the car gets a little less stock feeling. I can live with that. The rearend does seem kind of hot to the touch after a 60 mile drive. Does anyone know if this is normal? I have 220 mikes on it and have one more heat cycle to complete break in.

Any rearend gets very hot under normal use and much more so when your out bangin on it. Its normal assuming it is full of gear oil.

I figured as much. I can't say I ever felt my 10 bolt after running it for an hour.

Maybe the slightest of whine at about 50-60 mph, Eagle F1 tire noise is most of the time way louder.

One word of advice. IF you race the car at the track, get plenty of water on the tire to ensure a good burnout, a dry hop burn out has killed 2 of my tru tracs.

They work but they act like real lockers.

Lets us know after the break in period if there's any whinies, sounds, or "unusual" behavior.
