Default tru trac shot????

ok i was at the track yesterday and towards the end i noticed the rear being really grabby like a spool when i was driving/turning in the pits,,,i kinda dismissed it figuring it was due to the slicks being sticky and low pressure.

well we swap back to drag radials for the drive home and i feel thr same thing if turning slow a spool feeling it is fine rolling straight drove home 2 hours no prob but slow turns its still not happy

anyone thing a fluid change will help this???

Might as well start a new thread -who wasted their hard earned money on a ****** junk tru trac? Mine has maybe 5k miles on it..took it to the track once. made 4 runs.. now when i turn sharp i also get a clunking sound. Talked to a buddy today and he said his did the same thing last year. Ended up cracking the housing of it When i bought this damn 9in i said **** i'll never have to worry about breaking this beast... guess i thought wrong! and WOW i'm pushing a whole 390 rwhp. WTF

We have sold hundreds of these rears with the Truetrac, and we never heard of any problems for several years. It seems that recently problems have been cropping up for some people. What is the solution? I'm not sure at this time, possibly to convert over to a spool which would be the cheapest route. Bob

And i was one of them.. i really dont know what to think of it right now. I could see if my car seen the track every other week but the first time i get some tires that hook.. this happens. I really dont wanna run a spool or locker. My car is 99% street.. just wanna go get some new times every once in awhile Bob, i sent you a PM wed. but i'm sure you get 10 a day. You've never seen this first hand in your shop? I'm just guessing mine did the same thing as my buddy's. I've drove it 150 miles or so since the track day. Only issue is the noise turning. I'm just hoping i can get through the year without tearing into it.

I'm going to try to get to my pm's today. I have 20 unread ones as of right now. Thanks. Bob

Because the Majority of people who buy this diff doesn't actually race, and I am not talking about street racing. I mean "Putting Foot to ***" racing and to get up on that tire is going to require people be hard on it.

I have had this issue since 2007, I replaced one tru trac for another since the unit is sealed. Was fine until I started to race with it again. At this point I have gotten used to it but I think its Bogus that a 650$ unit can **** the bed like that.

I am going back to a Eaton HD Posi.

Just change to a spool. I run one and it honestly is not that bad. You can't even tell its a spool unless you are going slower than 5 mph. Its not bad at all. Its cheap and the strongest setup there is. If you don't want to have anymore issues in the future go this route.

Six speed cars seem to be the most brutal on the tru tracs. That is why I went with the good old locker. Noisy as hell but it will never break.
Well Chef time for a spool or a locker. Unless you want to try out that new wavetrac. That is supposed to be lifetime waranty but it is double the price of a true trac.

Wavetrac eh? Double money for something that will break and require the car to be down. **** that.
