..Im in the market for a new rear and was considering the tru-trac, but after hearing your horror story and numerous other ones Im having second thoughts. There is no reason for it to break with only minimal power. Hopefully one of the sponsers will chime in and get you in contact with moser. The stand up thing for moser to do would be to credit you some money or offer an upgrade at a cheaper price. Goodluck bud and I hope you get it sorted out.
You realize it's the same center section right?

Yep, mine is clunking from time to time...Rep at moser said he'd work with me on it..but i think i'll wait until winter before i tear it out. Unless it dont make it that long Makes me wonder how bad it is.. i've put about 800 miles on it since it started making noise (4 passes on Hoosier's) and i'm not babying it either

Could be wrong, but it's my understanding that a true-trac is more of an autocross pozi unit. Hard launches and shocking will break these units. I don't think they are meant for strip cars? just my .02

Thats obvious now.. Some have good luck with them at the track and most dont. It sucks *** that you need to run a spool or locker...when only going to the track a few times a year!!
