Default Which rearend with a h/c car

I am about 420 rwhp. 12 bolt or 9 inch. Mainly street, little track. I dont want to lose more hp from rear??

go with the 12 bolt because you dont need 9 inch unless you have 600+ Rwhp. The bolt is strong enough and its the lightest out the three stout rearends: 12 bolt, 9 inch ford and 11 bolt which is the strongest but has gear problems.

your gonna lose horsepower either way. what are your hp goals? moser 9 with true trac 31 spline done! true trac rated at 600hp. don't get a damn 12 bolt! your a fool if you chance that kind of money

bull **** a 12 bolt is lighter.... they are about the same, but you can make a 9 inch much lighter with aluminum centers, pinion supports, etc... cant do that with the 12 bolt.....

The Moser M9 (fabricated rear) is the same weight as the 10 bolt, so you would not be adding any weight to the car. Here is a link to the Moser M9.
