1 piece vs 2 piece driveshaft ?
I have a 2 piece drivesaft in my cts-v right now.
The rubber couple went the hell on me when my differential blew as the driveshaft spit grease everywere and went wild.
Im in the market for a new drivesaft .
Thinking about getting a aluminum replica of the stock one with some better u-joints and etc.
What would be the downside to running a 1 piece instead of a 2 piece?
More vibration ?
Should I just try to keep it 2 piece since my driveshaft is pretty long?

Two piece driveshafts are terrible for performance. Go with a one piece driveshaft, the local driveshaft place by my house told me that trying to work with a two piece driveshaft is much more difficult than just building a one piece from steel tubing. Just go with a one piece driveshaft and never look back.
The rubber inside the two piece driveshaft is not designed for performance use and working with it is not worth it. Just my two cents.
