Carbon Fiber Driveshaft

I just bought a Carbon Fiber Driveshaft and I got it in the mail today. I was telling a coworker about it and he said something that made me a little uncomfortable. He said that lightweight driveshafts have a tendency to flex while in motion and therefore I should be aware that it could hit the driveshaft tunnel. Granted he has a STI, so it is a little different, but do F-bodies have this problem?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I've never heard that kind of complaint with them. Never personally used one, but if that were true that would cause a lot of undue stress on the trans/diff bearings and rotating components. As well as A LOT of vibration I would think.
I think you made a good choice, If I had the cash I would go that route as well, the carbon shaft is also very well balanced compared to the alum/steel versions.

Decent link: http://www.iedls.com/driveshafts.html
"Smooth and stable from 0 to as high as 14,000 RPM. "
"Absorbs vibrations that can destroy all metal shafts. "
"Lower rotating weight transmits more of available power. "
I think you'll be fine! LOL

What he said^. Plus if you do or ever do have the power required to break one they splinter leaves you with a polished underbody. It won't break anything else and you will have a sweet looking broom after.
I'd get one in a blink if I could.
