There is less power loss with an S60 in comparison to a 9" Ford.

Interesting article, i've seen it a few years ago in the magazine. Too bad they didn't do a true apples to apples comparison. Since different weight wheels can affect dyno results just imagine what the different drum brake setups can do. The S60 and 12 Bolt both used 39lb brake assemblies with 9.5" drums. The Ford 9" used 11" drums which weighed in at a massive 64 lbs. Honestly I think their 7rwhp difference is due to the weight of the brakes. Sometimes you have to read inbetween the lines.
