What is the consensus on having Moser axles shortened? Moser's website says they do cut them, but also that they need to cut at least 3 1/2". Is that because they have the be cut past the existing spline? I read somewhere else that if you are cutting 1 to 1 1/2" you are fine.

I wish I would have just ordered a narrowed rear, but oh well.

 

Correct, they need to get past the splines when they shorten them so they can respline them. You may be able to get by cutting an inch or so off if you verify you have enough spline left for proper fitment. Bob
