Yes, the new crossmember can be purchased separately. Thanks. Bob

This particular T/A received a Moser 9 inch with a spool. Unless you do extensive city driving, a spool is not bad at all in my opinion. Bob

Buy a Moser 12 bolt, Moser 9 inch or Moser M9 (fabricated rear) and it will ship just two days later. No other manufacturer that I know of can come close to this time frame! Bob

Bob, can the stock LT1 rear brakes be used with a stamped Moser 9" running 35 spline axles?

And would you give any discount for buying a housing/axle package and not putting it on a credit card?

Yes they can indeed be used. I knock off $50.00 if you send me a cashier's check or wire transfer me the money from your bank to our bank, for the housing/axle package. Thanks. Bob

It all depends on how much horsepower your car has, but for the average 400 to 500 rwhp Camaro or Firebird, the Moser 9 inch with the Trac-Loc will do the job. If you still have the stock torque arm, then the lightweight Moser M9 should be considered too, as it comes with a chromoly torque arm and transmission crossmember.

I prefer the nine inch over the 12 bolt, and the link here explains why.

So, is the wavetrac worth the extra money? I don't do any road racing, and I feel that is the place where that would really shine. MY car is daily driven at the moment, but will soon be a weekend car. I currently have a 12 bolt, but it whines, and needs a new differential. I've been reading up, and considering going to a 9 inch. I've got about 500 WHP now, but will continue to upgrade and hopefully have at least 600 in the next year or so.

The M9 package seems like the way to go, just wondering about the differential choice.

The Wavetrac sounds perfect for what you are going to be using the car for. At the power level you are going to be at, there are not very many choices. Bob

The LT1 brakes go on the rear basically the same way the LS1 brakes do.
Check out my installation info at this link.
