Any demand for a bolt in torque arm style 8.8 ??

See above for the 3 channel. You can get the posi with the wheel but Im not sure if it is the correct tooth count.
You need a conversion u-joint that can be bought at any part store thats decent. But you need the rear coupler from a 8.8 to bolt the driveshaft to the rear diff. Its not like a standard joint with the straps.

i'm putting one together with a mini laddar bar set-up but i think if you could make these on a budget you'd have a lot of customers. that torque arm mount looks very stout comparted to a lot of others i've seen. the main thing your going to have to do is make them cheap. most of the problem with us f-body guys buying "bolt-in" rears is the cost. and as said, with the right parts, these rears are very strong and the internals are reletively cheap and easy to come by. with the amount of mustang guys running them, you could find parts easily.

one thing you might want to consider as well is selling just the torque arm mount. of course the customer'd have to get that piece that's welded to the housing welded, so i don't know if that would be practical. the rest just looks bolted on though. just a thought.

"Cheap" depends on the person but I could probably put one together using bare bones stock stuff but it would have room to grow and be stronger than any 7.5 for about $1500. But you can go crazy and put everything you can buy into one and be at about $2400. My problem is that IM paying somebody else for the housing fab. So to make enough money to make it worth going to a junk yard in 80-100 degree south Florida to pull the housings and take them to the fab shop then back to me and put all new stuff in them is alot of work. Time is money and Im not going to do them to loose money or even make $100 off them. Im honestly got to make a few hundred a rear or its not worth the trouble. Ive got a newborn baby born 10-27 and another baby born 7-1-09. I dont have time to mess around to loose money doing this. So if Im doing it Im making money.

Its all welded to the housing. You cant see in the pics but were it crosses over and under the pinion its tig welded with silicon bronze.
I would sell just the bare housings though. I think I would almost rather do that anyways than have 100 different options to deal with.

I think bare housings would be a better way to go so people can put whatever parts they want in them plus it would probably keep shipping costs down a little and alot easier on you. Maybe just offer a option for width if the fab shop can do custom widths...

That is probably how it will go but there are many out there that dont know how to setup and assemble a rear. They will need a complete one. I would say about $1000 shipped for the housing. I know its not much cheaper than other rears but If you add up-
$100 for 7.5 housing at junk yard
$100 for 8.8 housing at junk yard
$600 for welding and fab work which thats what they charged me when I did mine.
$150-200 shipping.
Theres $1,000 right there.

I think 1800 shipped for a fresh 8.8 would sell well. What type of torque arm would be needed to work?
I could see why some people on here would want a base housing, but I still think the majority would want a rear end thats ready to be installed.
I think if they charged you $600 for welding and fab work to make the first unit, they probably can cut you a deal if you have them do more units..Plus now they already know how to do it now. I am not saying to lower you're price, but just saying you might be able to make a little more profit in that area.

I made it so any torque arm can be used. I have a BMR on mine but I specified that we need every torque arm including stock to work with this thing. There may be some very minor adjustments like every other rear out there but mine bolted right in with zero hassle.

I went and picked this rear up with GTFORMULA and let me tell ya I was impressed. Very nice welds and craftsmenship too. I helped get his car back together and we were both very pleased on how quite and smooth the car rode too.
