Default Torsen series 3 carrier???

ok i bought a 99 ta parts car and swaped n the ls1 into my 95 ta i have 2.73 gears n my rear end (obviosly a seriers 2 carrier). Out of the 99 ta i have a spare torsen style series 3 carrier dif, will it fit n2 my 95 10 bolt housing? My original posi is goin if not gone its been givin me one wheel peels half the time and figured if the torsen dif will fit it would save me a lil cash.

Yes,it'll fit your 95 housing.
Being that the Torsen is 3sereis,you CANNOT use the 95s' 2.73 gearset.
You will have to acquire a gearset of from 3.23 to 4.56 to fit that carrier.
Did you get the 99s' gearset also ?

You can get a ring gear spacer to make use of the gears. Some say dont use these, some it wont bother anything. I used one and never had a problem. The posi will bolt in fine.

the 'poster' in post #3 comment about using a spacer is for 'reverse situation',using a 3series gear on a 2series carrier.
A 2series carrier will accept a 2series gear,a 3series 'thick' gear,or a 3series gear with a spacer.
A 3series carrier will ONLY accept a 3series gear.
