Random Rear-knock

Random Rear-knock Hey guys, I have a WS6 with just a tick under 92k miles and it seems like my car at one point was heavily modded but reverted back to stock and I think the original rear or even a more abused rear was put into the car. I sometimes get small clunking that apparently can only be heard inside of the car, it also does it when I downshift to decelerate/coast/engine brake. It has not done it once while shifting quick and up high in rpm's. I'm also 99% sure this car has 3.73's (I know aftermarket gears can be noisy) in it because I noticed my shift points while driving around town are quicker, and that second gear comes up much quicker than in my Camaro. There apparently was a work order for the pinion seal as it "leaks" but I haven't found any fluid on my driveway or parking space at work. Any ideas are welcome.

Do you know if you have a Torsen differential? My stock rear w/Torsen made a noise similar to what you describe. Once I changed the rear that noise never occured again, just had a slew of new ones...lol
