Ordered my 9"center section. Ordered all the parts to build my 3rd member today.
Bought
yukon nodular 3.25 case
nodular daytona pinion support
3.89 motive gear
35 spline chromolly spool
Timken master install kit
and short style billet steel yoke
Bought everything through quick performance for $672 and whats even better is the yukon case is normaly 270 is on sale for the same price as the strange S nodular case at $210.
Now I need to order my axles and tq arm bracket.

Now I need to order my axles and tq arm bracket.
I have already built my own housing from scratch and after all parts and having the housing narrowed and jig welded I will have right at 1600 in it. I still need to order axles with studs and the torque arm bracket then I can finish fabricating. Ill do a build thread when its all said and done.
Post some pictures of the pattern you get on those Motive's. And let me know how they sound if you dont mind.
Did you get the Motives from QP?

Yeah Ive bought everything except my housing ends through QP so far. Ill takes some pics but unless I have a bad terrible noise I most likely wont notice it. Ive got Long Tubes with a Y pipe and a single 3" Bullet on my car. It will talk to you. LOL.
I'm looking forward to building my first 9". I have always hated having to press the pinion bearing on and off to get the pinion shim set.

I ordered it with 5/8 race wheel studs and the ones with the large washer type locking system absolutely do not fit normal wheels with conical seats so I had to get the wheels machined. I tried several places and no one would do it for me so I came up with my own pilot system and barrowed a valve spring seat cutting tool and machined them myself.
Now all I have left is drill out the brake rotors, assemble the brakes, slide the drive shaft in and put the tq arm in.
I am probably gonna ride down to BMR in a hour or two and pick up a tq arm. Might as well put an adjustable one in it while I am right there.
