4.10s are to low for street use but are a blast. I'm turning about 2600 at 70 with a 26 tall rear tire. Now the car shuts off at 75 80 because it thinks its going 115 120. I'm looking for a tuner to fix it.

I run 3.73. They definitely perform better than the shitty 2.73 i had..

Im wondering how my car will perform with 4.10 along with a 4,000 stall...

Whats wrong with 3.42's? I'm running them on the Vette and wanted to put them in the Bird as well.

I ordered my 4.10s from strange and they should be here in the next day or so. You have to go by what you want to use the car for, if you drive 30 miles to work on the highway, i'd go 3.73, but if your like me, and have to only drive 15 miles to work, or its a weekend car, go 4.10s, ill definately post once I get done with the install. Also, if anyone knows, if I'm just doing a ring & pinion swap, what kinda break in period, if any, do I need to go through?

I'd still give that 3-500 miles just to be safe....why didn't you get the master install kit?

Well I called strange's tech support line, and the guy told me to just do 3-4 easy, 20 minute drives. And to let the car cool down between them.

I know through any brand it will reccomend you drive for 500 miles...it will tell you in your directions how to break them in depending on brand...Just no wot for a few hundred..incase you didn't get that master install kit....you'll need it..

So i finished up my 4.10's today.... Am I happy that i went with them instead of 3.73's? This thing is NASTY. Cant wait to hit the track this weekend. I was sooooo slow off the line with those 2.73's. I am glad i went 4.10's, didnt wanna be kickin myself in a few weeks for going 3.73. This has waken this car up ALOT!!! But I've said it before, i rarely see much highway driving in this car, longest drive i make is to Royal Purple Raceway. My recommendation on 4.10's in an A4?
