Default 3 channel diff in 4 channel rear

Im in the process of swapping out my gutted rear, i happen to have another diff out of a non traction control car, but i dont have the gears or the reluctor ring, do i need that ring to make my gears fit properly or does it not effect fitment?

quick replys are appreciated since my unpreparedness is tieing my lift up haha

thanks, Mark

does not effect fitment !!!
carriers are the same for either channel version, for 3 channel a ring is put on the carrier, for 4 channel it's not needed as they're on the axles.

If you have the reluctor ring from the 3 channel I would love to have it if it is for the 3 series rear end. PM me if you still have it.
Thanks
