Best gears to use. 98 z28 the car came with the 3.73 gears and i have the 4.10 gears in the trunk, which is better to use, i dont plan on going to the track, none of that stuff, (wouldnt mind stomping afew honduhs tho)

As far as strenght,not much difference between them. Neither of them can handle the potential abuse from a 6speed and traction.
3.73s' are the preferred ratio to upgrade to for automatics that have 2.73s' & 3.23s'.
4.10s' are the preferred ratio to upgrade to for 6speeds.
Going from 3.73s' to 4.10s' will increase your torque to pavement by 10%.

Just because 4.10s' are the preferred ratio by the general consensus,it's still a matter of personal preference. Maybe he wanted to lower cruising rpm,maybe they were noisy,maybe it was too much shifting,could be many personal reasons.
