ok i got 3.73 gears in my 99 z28 and it seems im SLOWER then i was with my 3.23..

How is this possible?

Ive raced that red z28 lt1 and beat him but he was pulling on me (he was never pulling on me when i had my stock 3.23).. Raced that 00 ss and had a bad start but wasent pullin on him(would pull on him b4 as well)?

 

If the car is an auto you need a tune to correct for the gears

 

Tune? You mean recalibrate the speedo to match the tire speed?

 

Recalibrate everything. From fuel maps to timing maps.

 

tune as in a pcm tune or dyno tune

 

and why do i need to recalibrate everything....n just not the speedo

 

Your need to have your shift points changed to take full advantage of the new gears.

O so after that ill be getting the full potential of my gears n smoke them?

 

technically yes, but you could return ur 323 gears, and spend the tuning money on a stall, and then smoke him , for real xD

 

We don't do digs usually a 35 roll...just makes me mad that I'm not beating them now ....Soo how much to get my pcm tuned to my gears...if its like 300 or round f that ill get a dyno tune for 400
