Default 10 bolt strength

Im just finishing my 383 build and should make in the ball park of 600 RWHP. I want to run a drag radial with a 6 speed. Is this a bad idea? I wont launch the car hard. I have 17x11 zr1s so it would be a 315 DR. I wouldnt even chance it at the track. What do you guys think?

This. Bring a broom too, if you want to keep all the parts to your 10 bolt that is.

10 bolts are known to break with stock power. I could see with 600whp and DR's a hard 1-2 shift could set the contents of the 10 bolt free, but it isn't as likely.

Build the 10-bolt properly and it should be fine... Find one of the other posts by me in regards to what is needed...

If you are starting from scratch with all stock internals, you are better off buying a S60 or 12-bolt. To build the 10-bolt properly will cost like $1500+... Not worth it when $600-800 more and you have a much beefier rear end...

dont go to the track with a 600hp car on street tires. I saw what can happen a few weeks ago when a guy took his 2010 supercharged (ls9 I think) on street tires.
Your wasting your time to go to the track and not go all out. Then if the 10bolt breaks its an even bigger waste.

launch it at 2k, just ease into it but watch the 1-2 shift, that's when mine went boom.. if you start out on a track with street tire and learn how to work the pedal it will make you a very frustrated but great driver, hoping you don't put it in the wall or do burn outs on the tree... oh and take a trailer.

10 bolts do not hold behind manuals.
