Take Your time, eventually what You want will come up for sale in Your area. It might already be, sometimes its just asking the right person.
On the other hand You might consider looking into a S60!

It should have a posi in it. I would open up the diff cover and see what you have. If you see sPrings in it then you have an auburn posi. The auburn might have burned clutches in it and it's the reason you only burn on one tire. Another thing you can try to do is change the fluid and add some limited slip additive. Take a picture of the inside so we can see what you have and be able to helP you out a little better. If you do have the cash I would go with an S60 as stated above.

Also, I stated it might be bad clutches in the auburn but they are a cone type clutch, not all clutches are discs.

This is a quote from JimmyP, another member on here.....
One wheel peel is just the low torque biasing range
of the factory Torsen, being less than the ratio of
static to kinetic friction of the tires to the road (less
wheel lift suspension reaction which is also stealing
tire down force).

Factory Torsen only has about a 2:1 bias range and
it's not uncommon for static/sliding "mu" values to
differ by way more than that.

Once you jerk the passenger's wheel up and spin it,
you'll only put 2X that to the still-stuck driver's
wheel and never exceed the breakaway torque.

If this is your only problem then it's a good problem
because spinning the second tire is going to likely
apply less road friction force than once you slide it.

A high-bias diff (like T-2R) will give you more torque
to the stuck wheel -up to the breakaway point- but
after that it's all back to tires no matter what chunk.

Welding the spider gears would cause more problems. You can break an axle and it will give you alot of wheel hop when turning. I would still open it up to see what you have. If it is a v6 rear then they had to have changed the backing plates and hardware to add the disc brakes. Iirc they only came disc brakes in v6's around 2001/2002.

If the original parts are in the rearend,99 + up got Torsen 'posi'.
98 + up V6 had rear disc brakes.
