Default 3.23 TO 3.73 and RPM

I will be going to track my first time in April and I want to run some nice 1/4s.

Currently I have a 01' WS6 with 3.23 gear. I am going to have a 3.73 gear in a couple of weeks. I also have a HP III and will be adjusting my rev limiter.

I have been researching and using http://www.f-body.org/gears/ to determine what would be best rev limitr and gear. I have heard a 3.42 would be best for my ride.

Anyhow, what kind of 1/4 mile should I get with 3.73 gear and 6000 rev limiter. Only mods are a Flowmaster and SLP lid with K&N filter?????

Just leave the 3.23's in. There wont be that much of a difference stepping up to the 3.73 gear. Take the money from the 3.73's and install and put it towards a converter. Also, that flowmaster isn't going to help you at all.

yeah converters are big A4 mods....great for 1/4 miles....but umm yeah ill stay by my mid 12's guess as you are.....and i think your gonna need tuning anyway when you get the 3.73's on there....so they gonna prolly od hat shows the best errything...i heard complaints bout HPP3..

The exhaust came with the car. I will do a electric cut out this summer before the exhaust. This will work until I can afford the SLP LT and Y pipe and SLP LM. That is where I want to go anyways.

SLP LT's arent all that great form what ive heard...they perform as good as any other header....but the groudn clearance is horrible....and the price is high for them

you can get some hooker headers...or pacessetters for prolly cheaper and the same if not better performance wihtout the clearance issue
