Bearing stuck in axle tube
Im replacing the seal and wheel bearing on my buddy's 98z - the previous owner replaced the factory stuff with a Timkin 'repair' assembly that houses the seals and bearing in one piece. When removing with a puller/slide hammer, the bearings literally crumbled and now theres nothing for the puller to grab. I can get it to hold onto the bearing's slip ring but after yanking on it for two hours, it isnt moving.
My next step is to go buy a torch in the morning and heat up the tub itself...its already received a healthy dose of PB Blaster...
Is there anything else I can do? Any help/tips/advice is greatly appreciated
