Default Getting new gears but what ones?

Ok i am set on a set of 4.10 gears i have a M6 and not so much of a DD but do drive it a lot. My question is there is a few diff gears on the market and i was looking at some motive gears. What is the difference in the Motive gears and the Motive Preformance Gears? And is anyone running these or some other brand and what is your thoughts and opinions of what your running? (i.e. louder, quieter, more dependable.)

Yea i fig a lot of the noise would come from how it is set up.

Dose anyone else want to chime in on this?

Default wanted to chime in

I've got a 98 camaro with a 370 in it and a 9" with 4.11.s and M6. You'll love the 4.10's in a daily driver, in 6th gear still only just over 2k at 70. I'm making 440 rwhp and best i've got was 23 mpg on the interstate going to my office. I'm sure it would do better if I didn't have the city driving added in, lol! I'm about to put Yukon or Motive gears in it because i'm changing to a truetrack and the gears in it now are noisy. any one tried both and comments?

Old thread but I prefer Motive Blue Box or stock replacements sets. Part # is GM75410 for 3 series 4.10s. The Orange box motives have the more aggressive cut gear and tend to be noisy IMO.

as long as you get a good brand name you will have nothing to worry about.
