Strange s60 and stock sway bar???

You will need to buy a kit from one of the sponsors - BMR, Spohn, UMI, etc. or Bob a Brute Speed. He installed a set on mine when my Camaro was there for a Moser 12 bolt install. They are available.

Or find you some 3 inch exhaust clamp u bolts. I recall I got a set from O'Reilly.
You might have to adjust/cut to length the end link spacers - they should be level when everything is just tight enough so they don't rattle.

i had a similar issue today with my s60. i am almost done with the install but my UMI rear sway bar seems to be hitting the cover. can you use anysway bar with the s60 rear end? the sway bar mounts came welded on the rear end and they sent me new hardware to connect it

^ Make sure you dont have it flipped upside down. Its easy to do and not realize, the bar will run into the cover and not come close to fitting on there. Ask me how I know lol

If you look at the Spohn brackets you can see that they are thicker (vertical height from the axle). The extra thickness lowers the swaybar clamps and the bar. Lowering the bar adds enough clearance so it will rotate up and down without hitting the diff cover.
At first I had to add spacers under the brackets in order to get my Hotchkiss swaybar to fit on the Moser to determine how low the bar had to be. I then ordered Spohn brackets because of their additional thickness which lowers the bar.
To test simply add washers or an additional nut to the u bolts, then attach the swaybar clamp and urethane bushing under the washers/additional nuts.
This is to test only. But will tell you how much vertical height you need under the axle to attach the swaybar clamps so the bar won't hit the diff cover.

I thought I had it figured out. I was thinking gosh I'm stupid. I put bolts throught the bracket and thought it should easily bolt up. Then I noticed It seems as if my bar won't reach back to the mounting brackets in spite of putting on the longer endlinks that cam from strange. I'll check tomorrow when I get some help looking at both sides.

Like someone mentioned make sure the sway bar isn't upside down, this is very easy to do. Our kit is below that allows you to attach the factory sway bar and aftermarket sway bar to the S60. The installation pictures in the link below show an S60 as well.

You also want to make sure your pinion angle is right. It would need to be off pretty bad to cause the sway bar to hit the cover, but you should check it first. Then you should be able to adjust the endlink lengths to get the clearance that you need.
