Default 12 bolt compatibility

Alright guys, I just had a quick question. Would the 12 bolt rear end in a 93 lt1 be compatible to swap into an ls1 f-body?

It should work for the most part. You.ll need the backing plates off of the LS car if you plan on running the newer body style brakes.

The width could be different. I think the 93 -97 rears are narrow by a couple inches.

Oh yea. A new one with some options will run 2k plus. Another thing to check is if it has ABS and or traction control on it. An ABS car will only have one sensor in the top of the center section. Not sure if the reluctor ring are the same for different years.
