Default Drive shaft only 3/4 inch gap?

Hey guys, installed my fab 9 moser rear end, and when we measured my rear drive shaft length when it was pushed as far as it would go in the trans and measured that gap to the yoke we came up with 3/4 inch gap. Is this enough of a gap? Just trying to make sure cause we went for my first test drive with my new suspension and I heard a lot of clanking and banging noises.

When i installed my Moser 9" i ordered my PST aluminum driveshaft from Brutespeed , it was a tight fit, i have a spool and it has some chatter that i wasnt used to on my first drive, what center section did you go with?

1" is normal. I would check it but would probably use it. Shove it all the way into the trans and use a Sharpie to mark a ring around it at the trans seal. Pull it back out and reinstall the ujoint. Put some grease on the yoke between the trans seal and the Sharpie ring. Bounce the rear hard a few times by hand up and down and see if the grease pushes to the Sharpie mark...I'm betting no...but it doesn't hurt to check...if you have some space between the grease and the Sharpie mark after bouncing it...take it for a ride and recheck...probably going to be fine.

I don't think you'll have a problem at .75 gap. You could always move the rear back .25 if you have adjustable lca's. Bob
