A quick search showed a few people using them on older cars.

But FWIW for that price you can get a Quick Performance bolt in housing with the torque arm mount and spring perches, axles and bearings for not much more.

You can also get a Moser bolt in housing with the torque arm mount with out axles and bearings for less than that Currie cost.

You can for a stamped housing I think. How much do the bare Moser M9 housings go for?

Bob @ Brute speed can get you a Bare unpainted M9 with relocation brackets and torque arm mount for 900 bucks if you want the backbrace its 1040. Powdercoating is 225. The M9 has fill and drain plugs standard.

M9 with axles and bearings is 1605 plus 140 if you want the backbrace for the axle tubes, and the 225 for powdercoating.

If you want anything Moser, Bob is you man.

don't know if it has been mentioned, but there's another member who attempted this..... 96lt4c4 , seems like he knew what he was doing and still caught hell......in the longrun i think it'd just be better to buy the Quick Performance or Moser housing

That company that sells housing/axles for $950 on ebay is Quick Performance. I have their rear in my car and I love it. Their housing with welded on relo brackets and t/a mount, 35 spline moser axles, and a center section that consisted of: Yukon nodular n-case, daytona pinon support, 4.11 motive gears, and a spool was $1900 SHIPPED to my door. Was a great deal and they were great people to deal with...

Is the case and center section ok for me to use in my trans am or do I need to buy a whole new setup?

http://shop.brutespeed.com/Moser-9-I...-and-Axles.htm

You could go with this Moser 9 inch housing and axle package, or go with just the 9 inch housing. If would be easier to go this route than it would be to get those axles to work. Provided those axles are long enough to be shortened, they would have to be cut down and resplined. Bob
