$100 fix. Buy a used posi and put in it. In my experience, gear pattern doesn't change when you swap posi's.

Classifieds. $1800 seems like the norm for used rear ends, depending on internal options (posi, spool, axle spline etc.).

2800 stall is alittle low. Id go 3600-3800.

One question I do have is I was looking at the summit brand with the cap studs and the "fancy" cooling fins. Is it worth it? Some say dont bother with the 10 bolt and others say to keep the bearings straight and thats what the cap stud things do. May go to the track twice a year. Just dont want my rear end to go.

swaping in a 12 bolt do you need to replace the driveshaft ?

The Strange 12 bolt works with the stock length driveshaft, but then the DS will be the weak link. A broken driveshaft is quite a destructive force. Save up for a better one down the line.

i'm deffently planning on buying a stronger DS in the near future .. just looking to see if the stocker will work for now

Yes it will work with a conversion u joint in the rear.
