A man could have went with a 91-92 housing and axles and accomplished pretty much the same thing.

Wouldn't building an 8.8 be a viable option. I see you are nearly done and I get your point about the cost difference, but you probably could have come in a lot cheaper than buying a new rear and never have to worry about it breaking in your application.

If I had known that i might have gone that option to preserve the factory rear however finding one with 3.42's would have been a steep challenge.
Thanks for the insight though.

And that's just not the look I was going for, 2.5" was it. Besides what's done is done and you already have my axles anyway. ;-)
