Default ford explorer 8.8

I have a 8.8 out of a ford explorer that I am wanting to put under a car when I get one. I got it free and I'm gonna rebuild the limited slip and order Moser axle shafts with the 5x4.75 bolt pattern. What do y'all thank about the 8.8? I know its not the best but hey its free and has already had new rotors pads and brake lines on it

They're great except for the c-clips. If you're changing axles, you could upgrade to 9" Torino ends and not have to worry.

New ends are $80 vs $200 for the eliminators. Eliminators are a known and chronic leak source. Call Moser and see what they think...

What car are you wanting to put it under? Also they dont make c clip eliminators for an explorer 8.8 as far as I know(mustang ones wont work) , I looked a while back when I did my 8.8.

just gonna have to find someone that can weld with nickel rod to get a torque arm mount on there, center section is iron and isnt just your regular ol' mig welding job.
