weight difference between detriot locker and spool? Does anyone know the weight difference between a Detroit locker and a spool on a 9" ?
Trying to figure out how much weight I can save going to a aluminum case and a spool versus my present iron case and Detroit locker. I know the aluminum case saves about 12lbs.

The Strange aluminum 9"case is 20 lbs lighter than the iron.
The 35-spline spool weighs 8.2 lbs but I'm not certain the weight of the locker.
It will cost better than $600.00 to do this not including labor, sometimes its better to put that kind of money toward HP gains. You might end up shaving more ET per dollar spent!?
