just like to add a dana 44 IRS is stronger than a dana 36 IRS...the 44's came off of manual vettes, and the 36's were from auto's...i was thinking about doing an IRS swap, but into an first gen camaro at one point...i have a 96 dana 36 i bought at a swap meet actually...i started polishing the whole thing, and then i bought the 98 Z, lol
