Default In the middle of trying to remove axle, NEED HELP!

Im trying to replace wheel studs. This is on a strange 12 bolt. I removed the pin between the axles and the c-clamps. I try to push in on the axles and they dont move. Should I push harder or am i missing something. Thanks for the help.

Do I need to remove the spring in the middle or push hard enough to compress it? I already removed the c-clamps and pin in the middle of the axles, this is an old picture.

yes youhave to unbolt the brake backing plates to get the axles out and if you have trouble getting the c clips out or back in you have to make sure you pull the sensors out of the backing plates if it is a 4 channel car " with traction control"
good luck

you most likely dont have c-clips in the axles (most aftermarket 12 bolts have c-clip eliminators), take the four backing plate bolts off, turn the rotor backwards and thread a few lugs on a couple turns and use the rotor for a slide hammer to yank the axle out - they are usually pretty tight in there.

If you have stock length studs you should be able to change them without pulling the axles.

It looks to me like I have c-clips. If i rotate the axle whiles the differential pin is out will i throw all the alignment off?

it wont throw anything off but the spider gears may rotate in the housing and fall out - no big deal though. If you had c-clips you should be able to slide the axle inward once you get the pin out. They should go far enough in so you dont have to remove the preload plates/springs. if the axles wont budge side to side then you most likely dont have c-clips. By the look of that pic there are no c-clips on that rear, when they use c-clips the insides of the axles almost rest against the pin. If that rear in the pic had c-clips it would have 1/4" of play in RH axle.
