Question One wheel burnout Qs w/ 12bolt

I have a Strange 12bolt with 50k miles, 3.73s. Since 30k miles I would get some one-wheel spin & squealing sometimes doing burnouts at the track. Its a regular occurance now. I always use a linelock and the tranny usually shifts up to 2nd during the burnout. Now if I start my burnout in the water box, it usually burns both wheels and as I roll out the left will quit and the right continue burning.

Launching is no problem--even if there is some spin, it spins both. No driveability problems at all. The only problem I had with this rear is the passenger side axle bearing went out at about 48kmiles (on the rear) and started leaking fluid, but I replaced that myself and no problems since. I change the fluid & GM additive every 6000 miles minimum.

I'm only making about 340 rwhp with this rear. Is it a matter of needing more power? Is it a matter of burnout technique? Is my posi going?

What posi unit are you using? Eaton HD? Sounds like the clutches in it may be getting worn. Fairly inexpensive to rebuild.

Yes its the Eaton in Strange's standard 12-bolt offering for the Fbody.

Now here's a dumb question. When you take one of these out does it require setting up the gears again? I have done all my mods myself but that is one thing I wouldn't trust myself to do.
