Default Rear end problem

About a year ago I had a howling issue from the rear end of my 02 Trans am... figured out it was axel and wheel bearing replaced.......Now having said that im having an issue with the rear driver side every time i go over a bump it makes a popping noise like something is hitting the underside of the car i put the car on stands took the load off and put it on and put it into neutral and rolled the tires no noise ...I tried to lift the tire to see if it was wheel bearing and push it in and out .......still no noise the only thing i didnt do was open the diff cover and take the shocks down

I thought it was the rear trailing arms that i took off a while ago I retorqued those figuring those are loose. I also replaced the shocks and springs with the koni srt.t shocks and strano springs

I have polyurethane bumb stops.
I checked the ebrake wire it was secured still.
I checked the isolators ontop the springs their in good condition

Any ideas ? nothings cracked or damaged so im at a loss

I have a very similar issue on my car with the drivers side wheel. If you like the car by the body and pull on the wheel up and down, does it make a noise?

From what im told, if it moves or makes a noise at all somthing is wrong with the bearing.

Which bearing? Last year i did the axel and wheel bearing on the passenger side I should have done both at the same time than i could have averted this problem maybe...

From what I was told on mine it's an axle bearing. I brought it to a shop to find that the whole thing needed to be rebuilt. The thing has 190,000 on it, so I'm not surprised at all. When I had longer studs put in about 5 years back, he showed me how my axle was worn in at the bearing and probly should be replaced with the bearing. I decided to just wear this one out and go with a 9inch.

rebuilt could also be considered just bearings/races for pinion and carrier, pinion seal, reset pinion depth and lash, new axles with bearings & seals, new cover gasket and fluid. Parts re-used would be pinion/ring gear and carrier.
