Default Pulling axles

How hard is it to pull the axles on a 10 bolt? I got a slightly used rear off a guy for trade, but he took off the backing plates. I need to reuse mine.

Pretty easy. They're c-clip axles. They should slide right out.

Thanks for the timely response, but don't I have to pop off the c-clips or something?

Pull the rear cover, unbolt and remove the rod that goes through the diff. Then push the axel inward and remove the c-clip, pull the axel straight out. Thats all there is to it.

Ok cool man! Thanks a bunch! I was just hoping that I wouldn't have to take out the diff and mess with the gears.

some tips when you get the cover off their is a 10mm i think take it out ( i have had to remove one of the caps to get it out of a 95 i had and a 98 i didn't so if it wont clear tack the cap off) then get the cross pine out dont drive it in to far cause you cant turn the unit. so drive it in opposite end of small bolt a bought a 1/2 inch turn unit 180 you can hook the pin with the hole pull pin with wheels off and brakes off push axels in take magnet and get c clips out may have to take 2 small screwdivers and push c clip out of grove have did this many times so take time and it will be easy. pbr

8mm bolt. And a magnet can be helpful to retrieve the C clips if you have one handy.

I didnt have much toruble with it...

MAKE SURE you know which way the diff pin/block was in the diff. It aides lubrication and should not be put in the wrong way.
