Question Front axle ? - difference between these two Timken wheel bearings?

I guess this is the right section for this post - gears & axles, this is like a "front axle" question.

Autozone lists 2 different Timken Wheel Bearing/Hub Assemblys for a 99 Camaro. The weight and the price are the only differences indicated by the Autozone website.

513090 is $106 and weighs 9.35lb

513091 is $104 and weighs 5.85lb, it's listed as "can also use"

Anyone know what the story is here?

If they are exactly, the same then use the lighter part to save some unsprung weight.

That's the first instinct - but what if the heavier one uses a better bearing or something of that sort?

Timken website was no help.

Not sure about the front bearings, but I know that TIMKEN makes the bearings for AC Delco.....

I ordered up some original AC Delco Pinion bearings and they were IDENTICAL to the AUTOZONE TIMKEN bearings, even had TIMKEN printed on it!!

The AZ bearings were less than half price and had to option to come with or without the race....

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Timken is the OEM supplier. In any event, I've never heard a bad thing about their bearings.
